“Odia” is one of the official languages in India spoken mainly in the state of Odisha which is in the eastern part of India. People from the state of Odisha are known as “Odia(s)”. Odia Samaj Frankfurt was started in 2016 with few Odia families in Frankfurt, Germany. During last years, our community has grown significantly with many NRI Odia’s working and studying in the region.
Odia Samaj Frankfurt e.V was registered in the Association register of the district court of Frankfurt am Main on 7th November 2023 as a non-profit association of Odia speaking people residing in Germany.
The primary focus of the association is to provides a platform for those who have interest and affinity towards Odisha to pursue their hobbies and practice Odia traditions and culture.
The association aims to promote Odia culture and heritage, integrate Odia community to the German society here while retaining our cultural roots and tradition.
Let us all join hands together in celebrating Saraswati Puja.
